Critic’s Choice Television Awards Winners

The 2015 Critics’ Choice Television Awards were given out Sunday night and the winners list follows.

Cat Deeley was the evening’s host of the Awards show which celebrates the year’s most noteworthy programming, with winners chosen by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association.

The nominees are for shows that aired between June 1, 2014 and May 31, 2015.

Going in, the Best Drama Series nominees were “The Americans,” “Empire,” “Game of Thrones,” “The Good Wife,” “Homeland,” “Justified,” and “Orange Is The New Black.”

Best Comedy Series nominees were “Broad City,” “Jane The Virgin,” “Mom,” “Silicon Valley,” “Transparent,” “Veep,” and “You’re The Worst”.

Individual nominees included Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jeffrey Tambor, Tony Hale, Viola Davis, Bob Odenkirk, Kiefer Sutherland, Felicity Huffman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, to name a few.

A special honor, the Critics’ Choice LOUIS XIII Genius Award, was presented to Seth MacFarlane.

Upon receiving the award, MacFarlane said, “Let’s not forget I’m being declared a genius on a network that airs ‘Duck Dynasty,’ a show whose cast members believe hurricanes are created by gay marriage. I wish I was joking,” he said on the live telecast that aired on A&E Network.
