‘Homeland’ teaser for Carrie at PaleyFest LA

Changes are coming to Showtime’s “Homeland” with a time shift, location shift and a teaser about a main character.

Alex Gansa, executive producer of the spy drama, says there will be a forward leap in the time line on the show, as it heads into its fifth season.

“We’re going to take about a two-year forward jump.”

Gansa, who was attending TV’s PaleyFest at Hollywood’s Dolby Theater, added the next season of Homeland would be filmed in Berlin, Germany and its environs.

The fourth season of “Homeland” was shot in Cape Town, South Africa, which doubled for Islamabad and Kabul.

Gansa also let on to the attendees that the character CIA officer Carrie Mathison, played by Claire Danes, will no longer be an intelligence officer.

He wouldn’t elaborate on what he described as a “tiny teaser.”

Showtime renewed the show for a fifth season in November.

Named for William S. Paley, founder of CBS and The Paley Center for Media, PaleyFest is a must-see pop cultural event produced by the Paley Center that brings fans together with the talent behind their favorite shows.
